Stora Enso – a thin, light, tightly sealed packaging carton was Stora Enso’s answer to making the environment and customers happy. Knightec was given the task of creating a machine for product development, with the aim of making them even happier. The problem was a complex one, and Stora Enso wanted a test machine that was as flexible as possible. Knightec’s solution was based on an actual problem with leaking packs of fruit juice. Adopting a modular approach, the machine can also be used to develop other kinds of carton materials. This enables Stora Enso to avoid burdening production with similar tests and to develop new products more cost-efficiently.
